Instant Bread Rasmalai

This Bread Ras Malai is a creative twist on the classic Ras Malai, a beloved Indian dessert known for its delicate, cardamom-scented milk and soft, spongy cheese dumplings. This quick version replaces the traditional ras malai base with bread, making it a convenient and time-saving option that still delivers all the rich, milky flavours associated with the dish. The soft bread soaks up the thickened milk (rabri) beautifully, creating a tender, creamy texture that pairs perfectly with the flavours of cardamom and saffron.

Using Milk Masala further elevates the dish, adding depth and fragrance with a blend of spices and nuts. This masala infuses the milk with rich layers of flavour, enhancing the overall experience and giving the dessert an authentic, aromatic quality without the need for extra ingredients. The result is a dessert that’s both decadent and approachable, ideal for when you want to serve something traditional yet quick for festive occasions or family gatherings.

With minimal cooking time and a straightforward process, Instant Bread Ras Malai offers a delightful fusion of taste and convenience. Its delicate, cardamom-flavoured milk, softened bread rounds, and beautiful garnish of pistachios or almonds make it a visually appealing and satisfying dessert that’s bound to impress, whether for an intimate dinner or a festive celebration.

Notes

For Navratri fasting, you can substitute the bread with Sama rice crepes. To make the crepes, soak Sama rice, blend it, and cook into soft crepes in a greased pan. Once done, cut them with a round cutter, fill with the stuffing, and follow the same recipe steps.
